Ronda Rousey may be done with WWE, but the former UFC star is not completely closed off to remaining in the wrestling world.

Rousey has been making headlines this month after making a return to MMA and beating Gina Carano after 17 seconds.

She has also commented on how realistic a run with AEW would be , and while she played down appearing for Tony Khan’s promotion again, Ronda has now floated the idea she could open a wrestling school.

Ronda Rousey suggests she could open a wrestling school in Hawaii

In recent interviews, the former WWE Women’s Champion has made it clear that she is now putting more focus on her family rather than competing.

It was a similar story when she spoke to Fox News this week, suggesting that life on the road as a professional wrestler just isn’t doable for her anymore.

Rousey said: “I think, just, we’re trying to have another kid now and all this stuff. That lifestyle, being on the road and wrestling, it’s just not conducive at all to having multiple kids.

“We were able to make it work for a little while. It’s just not doable anymore.”

However, the door to the wrestling world isn’t completely closed for the 39-year-old, who also admitted it would be cool to open a wrestling school if she moves to Hawaii.

Rousey continued: “I could be open to doing some things if it works out and it’s local. We’re looking to move to Hawaii, and it would be kinda cool to open a little school.”

Ronda Rousey loved the WWE

While Rousey may not be open to working as a wrestler herself again, she has previously admitted her love for the WWE and the female superstars.

Speaking on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! podcast in 2020, she said: “I love the WWE. I had such a great time. I love all the girls in the locker room.

“Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing. I love choreography. I love acting. I love theatre. Live theatre and some of the last forms of live theatre.”

But even back then, Ronda admitted the schedule just wasn’t ideal for her home life.

She continued: “But, I was doing basically part-time and I was away from home 200 days out of the year. And when I did get home, I was so sleep deprived cause you just don’t have time to lay down.

“If I did all of the live shows, I was only home a day and a half a week. It was just not worth it for my family because we were eliminating all of our expenses and living this lifestyle, we didn’t need it. We didn’t need the money.”
