Max Holloway Eyes Legacy Rematch With Conor McGregor After Years Of Waiting

In 2012, Max Holloway was one of the youngest fighters in the UFC, and he has fought 33 UFC fights. With so many fights, Holloway already considered one of the legends of the sport. After his previous loss against Charles Oliveira, “Blessed” now only looking for a legacy rematch with Conor McGregor.

Daniel Cormier recently talked about Holloway and said that the 34-year-old only wanted a legacy rematch with McGregor. Cormier mentioned that Holloway felt he had earned that fight through everything he had done for the UFC. In a recent video, the UFC commentator said:

“He just said it’s what he wants because he feels he’s earned it. Max has put a lot of work in for the company, and he deserves an opportunity to try to right something that he feels was done so wrong so many years ago.”

The former BMF champion fought the Irish fighter in 2013 and lost via unanimous decision. Now, a rematch with McGregor could be one of the biggest fights of Holloway’s career. Meanwhile, “The Notorious” also showed interest in coming back, as he previously participated in an exhibition boxing match.

Conor McGregor Sparks Return Rumors As He Steps In Exhibition Bout

Conor McGregor sparked comeback rumors again after stepping into the ring for an exhibition boxing match in Dublin. The exhibition took place at Crumlin Boxing Club during a local Good Friday event and marked the first time McGregor competed in front of a crowd since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier.

Fans were quick to notice that McGregor still looked sharp on the feet. He was previously supposed to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 before a toe injury forced him out. Now there were growing rumors that a fight with Max Holloway could be next, but nothing had been officially confirmed yet.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
