Everybody was talking about Conor McGregor’s return against Max Holloway. The fight was getting so much hype that fans and MMA stars were even talking less about the White House card. Recently, MMA veteran Matt Brown predicted this fight and favored McGregor against Holloway.
Brown believed the former two-division champion still had a real chance to defeat the former BMF champion, especially at welterweight. Holloway looked undersized against Charles Oliveira, and Brown pointed out that McGregor would look huge at 170 pounds and have more power. In a recent interview with MMA Fighting, the MMA veteran said:
“For one, it’s at 170 and Conor has good power at 170. Max is hittable. He’s certainly a hittable guy. Conor has a win over him in the past. Max has been through the ringer. He’s got a lot of miles on those tires.“

Brown also stressed that the fight heavily depended on which version of Holloway showed up. Meanwhile, he also mentioned that the Irish fighter was returning after five years, a long gap. Despite the hype of the fight, Ilia Topuria trolled the matchup.
Excitement exploded across the MMA world after the UFC announced Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway for International Fight Week, but Ilia Topuria quickly stole attention with his reaction. Trolling Holloway and McGregor on a recent appearance on ESPN Deportes, the lightweight champion said:
“It’s gonna be like two kittens fighting. I think Conor’s going to beat him. I want Conor to win. I don’t think he wants to fight me now, he knows he’d get hurt. But if he gets a good win against Max and then another victory, we could make it happen.”

The UFC lightweight champion mocked both fighters while predicting McGregor would still defeat Holloway despite years away from the octagon. Topuria also hinted that he hoped to eventually fight McGregor himself, claiming “The Notorious” currently avoided the matchup because he knew how dangerous Topuria was.
