Nate Diaz reportedly declines UFC return fight against former title challenger who is struggling to find an opponent

Fans will have to wait a little longer for Nate Diaz's return to the octagon after he declined a fight against a former UFC title challenger.

The younger Diaz brother has amassed a large following since capitalizing on his victory over Conor McGregor nine years ago. Since then, many fans have been eagerly awaiting each time the Stockton native makes the walk to the cage again, and while rumors are heating up about a potential UFC return, the 40-year-old's supporters now face yet another setback.

Despite having an opponent and date ready for his return, Nate Diaz reportedly refused to sign the contract against a fellow UFC veteran.

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till has posted a revealing message on his social media, insisting that Diaz is just one of many who are refusing to fight him.

"Nate Diaz agreed to fight Till & changed his mind citing weight," a post on Till's Instagram said. "Probably knows he gets KOed."

"Mike Perry has priced himself out, which basically means he doesn't want to fight Till. [Jorge] Masvidal has basically done the same as Perry, so enough said there."

"Carl Froch has said he might be down to fight Till next year, which is odd as he said last week he only needs 4 weeks on his YouTube [channel]."

"Tyron Woodley has said he is thinking about it, but doesn't look like he [fancies] it, but sure he would be confident when he already beat Till in the UFC."

The message then concluded with one final statement about fighters when it comes to facing the Liverpudlian.

"Darren Till - the most avoided fighter right now."

While the end to his UFC career was one to forget, Darren Till has enjoyed much success since transitioning over to boxing.

The 32-year-old has competed three times professionally, winning each of his bouts and scoring two knockouts during that time.
