There were worrying scenes after Darren Till stopped Luke Rockhold in devastating fashion.
Saturday’s Misfits Boxing 22 card ended with one of the year’s most brutal finishes, as Till knocked out Rockhold with a vicious left hand in round three of the night’s main event.
The writing looked to be on the wall early as the American had to be saved by the bell in the very first round. The finish ultimately came a couple of rounds later, as the ex-UFC and Strikeforce champion was put out cold.
Till quickly wheeled off to celebrate his third straight win under the Misfits banner, but he soon appeared concerned after seeing the state his stricken foe was in on the canvas.

Rockhold is no stranger to suffering frightening knockouts.
The American’s combat sports downfall began when he fell off the middleweight throne at UFC 299, where Rockhold was knocked out by Michael Bisping. After a bounce-back win, consecutive KO losses to Yoel Romero and Jan Blachowicz followed.
Dana White urged Rockhold to retire after the brutal setback against the Polish light heavyweight, and had he followed that advice, he would have avoided the scary fate that befell him in Manchester on August 30.
New ringside footage has revealed just how badly Rockhold was put out by Till. A clip uploaded to YouTube by Seconds Out shows the former UFC champ being given oxygen through a mask by medical professionals.
A concerned-looking Till can be seen checking on his defeated rival, with whom he had a heated buildup to the event.
Rockhold’s first statement on his KO loss in Manchester was short and sweet.
He first addressed the result, and amid calls for Rockhold to retire, the ex-UFC champ gave a simple two-word reaction to the setback.
“S— happens,” Rockhold wrote on Instagram.
The post came alongside an image of the American sharing a beer with Till, and he also sent a message to his victorious opponent in the caption.
“It’s all love @darren till2.0.
“All the best to you brother.”
