Paddy Pimblett had one of the toughest times in the UFC when he lost his interim lightweight title fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 324. Many had said that Pimblett didn’t deserve the title shot. This might have affected “The Baddy’s” mental health, and recently, he talked about men’s mental health and why it was important.

Pimblett explained that he spoke openly about men’s mental health because he had been through dark times himself. The former interim lightweight title challenger said that before joining the UFC, he had many difficult thoughts running through his head. In his interview with BBC Sport, he said:

“I’ve been there myself years ago before the UFC, so many mad thoughts running through my head. And then my mate killed himself 36 hours before I fought.”

The 31-year-old had often used his platform to encourage men to speak up, ask for help, and not keep everything bottled up. Meanwhile, he previously suffered a loss, which definitely affected him, but now he was aiming to bounce back in the UFC and announced his return.
