Silva Sobs Over Ruffy's UFC 331 Knockout Loss

Jean Silva cried openly after watching Mauricio Ruffy knocked out at UFC 331 over the weekend.

Silva, who has trained alongside Ruffy despite a recent falling-out, posted video of himself in tears following the finish. He told followers he understood what Ruffy was going through because he had walked that same path, per MMA Mania.

Silva On Supporting Ruffy After Knockout

"As I said in the video, I hope that the people around give support to Ruffy, I've been in that same situation and it's a very dark road to be on," Silva wrote. "Even having our problems, Ruffy is an excellent athlete."

The pair trained together before Silva declared their friendship over earlier this year. Silva has not specified what caused the split, but the emotion in his response suggests the bond runs deeper than either man has acknowledged publicly.

Silva fights next at UFC 334 in November.
