Strickland wrote that he'd prefer to fight under the Zuffa Boxing banner but left the door open to other promotions if a deal can't be made. "I love MMA but I want to box," he posted. The California native has built his UFC career around a striking approach rooted in boxing fundamentals. He regained the 185-pound title in May by stopping Khamzat Chimaev and is expected to defend against Nassourdine Imavov in his next outing.
