The White House is set to host a major UFC event next month, in honor of America's 250th birthday.

UFC will be holding a special fight night at the White House in honor of the America 250 celebration. The fights will be held on the White House rose garden lawn. However, ahead of the event, the White House appears to have a problem.

Dana White, the UFC president, recently had a private, outdoor dinner at the White House with President Trump. During the dinner, he realized that the White House had a pretty significant bugs problem.

Speaking with Boardroom, White admitted that he realized that the White House had a significant bugs problem.

"Another problem that I always think about, especially on the East Coast, bugs," White admitted.

"President Trump just opened the Rose Garden two nights ago and he invited me to dinner there. The amount of gnats that were flying around … I’m like, ‘Holy (expletive)’ As soon as I got on the plane, I called my head production and said, ‘Yeah, let me tell you about the gnat situation tonight.’"

White is re-thinking outdoor events in Washington, D.C.

Still, White is planning on doing a lot ahead of the fight night in Washington, D.C.

"If you are a fan of the UFC, and especially if you have never been to Washington, D.C., we’re going to give away about 85,000 tickets and there’s a process you have to register for tickets and they’re free, but you should come to Washington, D.C., that week, the week of the fight. We’re going to be doing all kinds of things in D.C. for fans and it’s really a cool city for probably most people have never been and if you’re a UFC fan this is absolutely, positively the time to come to D.C."

However, it seems like the UFC needs to get the bugs problem under control.

Good luck with that, though, in the swampy and muggy Washington, D.C. in the middle of the summer.
