UFC fighter tells untold drunken Jon Jones story

Jon Jones has had his fair share of drunken misadventures, dating from his early years in the octagon until now at 38.

No matter what mishaps he finds himself in outside of the sport, 'Bones' will forever be considered by many to be the greatest fighter to ever live. Despite the expertise in his craft, one constant that follows the Hall-of-Famer is his ability to find trouble when not competing.

Some have tried to hold his setbacks against his legacy, but they have never been a hindrance to his talent when the cage door closes.

During the pinnacle of his years in the UFC, countless fans considered Jon Jones' closest fight to be Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165. Little did they know, Jones was out partying until the early hours despite heading into one of the toughest tests of his career.

"[Jones and Gustafsson] came to this club," UFC light heavyweight contender Bogdan Guskov revealed. "In short, there's a party there and all that."

"I saw Gustafsson leave around 10 or 11 pm to get some sleep. Meanwhile, Jon Jones stayed in the club until 5 in the morning."

"He was drunk as f***. At one point, I even saw him and Frank Mir wrestling on the floor — and none of us dared to break it up. Luckily, they were just playing."

Guskov praised Jones' ability to perform at the highest level both in the cage and in the club almost simultaneously.

"I think, damn, that's the life of a fighter. But I was more impressed by Jones, yes, the fact that he is a fighter at such a level... His behavior is so kick-ass."

When asked what Jones was drinking during the night of the party, Guskov had an amusing response.

"[No, he wasn't just drinking vodka], he drank everything that was at the bar."
