UFC Perth Post-Event Facts: Light Heavyweight Extends Stellar Streak With Stoppage

Now, here are some interesting post-event facts of the main card fighters from UFC Perth. 

UFC Perth: Tom Nolan def. Charlie Campbell

His win over Charlie Campbell marked his fourth victory in a row since losing his promotional debut back in January 2024. The win also served as his first-ever submission triumph across his 11 fights as a professional. 

Six of his ten wins have come by way of stoppage.

Campbell’s UFC Perth loss to Tom Nolan was the end of his three-bout winning streak, which dated back to August of 2022.  It’s also the first loss of his combat sports career by tapout. 

This was “The Cannibal”’s first contest of 2025, with the last time he stepped foot into the Octagon coming at UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Curtis 2 in April 2024. 

UFC Perth: Neil Magny def. Jake Matthews

Neil Magny

Neil Magny’s win over Matthews in UFC Perth brought his current win streak up to two after previously starching Elizeu Zaleski a little more than a month ago at UFC Fight Night: Taira vs. Park. The win extended his company record of most wins in UFC welterweight division history with 24.

It also increased his overall fight time in the Octagon to 7:19:35, which stands as the most of any competitor in the weight class’s history. 

Jake Matthews

Matthews’ appearance at UFC Perth 4 was his 23rd fight in the organization. His loss to Neil Magny is the first time in his professional career that he had been submitted because of a D’arce choke. 

He is now 3-2 in his last five tilts. 

UFC Perth: Jack Jenkins def. Ramon Taveras

Jack Jenkins

Jenkins’ UFC Perth win over Taveras brought him back into the win column after losing in his last fight to Gabriel Santos at UFC 312. Additionally, Saturday’s contest was his fifth victory as a professional by decision.

He is now 2-2 in his last four bouts.

Tavares’ loss to Jenkins is his second defeat in a row after falling short to Davey Grant last December at UFC Fight Night: Covington vs. Buckley. Moreover, this was the third time in his last five fights that he has missed weight.

His UFC record now stands at 1-2.

UFC Perth: Jimmy Crute def. Ivan Erslan

Crute inclusion on the UFC Perth 4 card was his third promotional contest of 2025, as well as his first in just two months after competing at UFC 318. The victory is also his second first-round submission in a row.

He earned a Performance of the Night award for his win over Erslan, making it his first post-fight award since 2020. He is now 2-0-1 since returning to the UFC this year after a brief hiatus from competition.

Erslan’s UFC Perth loss to Jimmy Crute spelled his third consecutive defeat after coming up short to Ion Cutelaba and Navajo Stirling.  It was also only the second time he had ever lost a bout by submission; the last time coming all the way back in 2020 at KSW 56. 

His UFC record now stands at 0-3.

UFC Perth: Carlos Ulberg def. Dominick Reyes

Ulberg’s Saturday night win over Reyes served as the sixth first round stoppage of his professional career. It also marked his ninth victory in a row since losing to previous light heavyweight standout Kennedy Nzechukwu in 2020 at UFC 259. 

The victory earned him his third Performance of the Night bonus.

Dominick Reyes

Reyes’ loss to Ulberg was his first since 2022. It also snapped his previous three-fight winning streak.

This defeat was the second time he’d lost by first-round knockout. His UFC record now stands at 9-5.
