UFC Vegas 109 is almost here! Saturday night, the UFC Apex serves as the setting for the second UFC Fight Night in the month of August. After this card ends tomorrow, the promotion heads back out on the road for the rest of its summer schedule.

Coverage of tomorrow night’s event can be seen from start to finish over ESPN (linear television) and ESPN+ (streaming video) inside the United States. Prelims begin at 4:30 pm ET/ 1:30 pm PT, with main card action following at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT.

Friday morning, the official weigh-in window of UFC Vegas 109 took place. Just like the weigh-in window from last weekend’s show, there were a few headaches on the scales earlier today out in Nevada with the first attempt to weigh-in for some fighters.

Hernandez Exceeds Weight at First Time of Asking for UFC Vegas 109 Main Event

While Roman Dolidze (185 1/2 lbs) weighed-in within the 186-lb middleweight nontitle target for the main event, his opponent, Anthony Hernandez (186 1/2 lbs), came in a half of a pound over the allotted weight on Friday morning. At least, this was the case initially.

Later on in the official weigh-in window, he returned to the scales and weighed-in again, this time hitting the mark at 186 lbs even. As such, Hernandez will retain all of his wages for the show.

Stoliarenko, Edwards Also Need Second Attempts to Make Weight Ahead of UFC Vegas 109

Initially, Julija Stoliarenko (126 1/4 lbs) exceeded the flyweight nontitle maximum by a quarter of a pound on Friday morning. She, too, needed to come back later on in the morning, but just like Anthony Hernandez in the UFC Vegas 109 main event, the second chance proved to be successful, coming in at 126 lbs on the button. Her adversary Gabriella Fernandes (125 1/2 lbs) weighed-in below the maximum on the first try.

Joselyne Edwards (136 1/4 lbs) was also a quarter of a pound over the contracted weight for her bantamweight affair at the Friday weigh-ins. However, she later came back to the scales and recorded an on-target weight of 136 lbs. Priscilla Cachoeira weighed-in below the target at 134.
