Another fight, another undefeated opponent for ex-UFC fighter Melvin Guillard.
The former UFC lightweight contender and ‘The Ultimate Fighter 2’ alum, who fought the likes of Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, and Jeremy Stephens in the Octagon, hasn’t won an MMA fight in more than a decade.
At 42, Guillard has one of the worst skids in recent memory, with eleven losses and one no-contest.
However, it’s not like Guillard has been losing to just anybody on the regional scene. Guillard’s losing streak began at the hands of former BMF Champion Justin Gaethje (who he took to a split decision) in 2014 and made its way to former two-time UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya in 2017.
0-2 in 2025, Guillard will look to return to winning ways in his next fight.
Guillard will face his third undefeated fighter in a row this September.
After a four-year layoff, Guillard was stopped by former UFC fighter Josiah Harrell (10-0) and Isaac Moreno (7-0) in less than two rounds in a span of a few months.
Now, Guillard returns against welterweight prospect Terry Wiggins (3-0) at Raging FC on Sept. 20 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Guillard, a veteran with over 60 fights across combat sports, holds a significant edge in experience ahead of this fight. The last time Guillard shared the cage with a 3-0 fighter was at UFC 60 back in 2006.
Wiggins is a former college football player out of Alabama.
Should Guillard lose, it would be his 12th-straight defeat in MMA.
It’s not every day you book your fourth pro fight against someone who’s had 22 fights in the UFC alone.
Guillard’s next opponent Terry Wiggins made his pro MMA debut 17 months ago. Wiggins is coming off a decision win over a 19-fight veteran in June.
We caught up with Wiggins following the news that he’d be fighting Guillard.
“I’m honored & excited to share the cage with a UFC & Bellator legend,” Wiggins told Bloody Elbow.
“Having this opportunity this early in my professional career is huge and I look forward to showing my skills and competing with someone of his caliber…
“I’m honored!” Wiggins said on fighting Guillard.
“And I can’t wait to give the fans a good show…”
