UFC's Mike Perry punches man in bar altercation, uses racial slurs

Weeks after Mike Perry became a UFC fan-favorite following his victory over Mickey Gall, the 28-year-old welterweight made headlines for an incident that could cost him his job with the promotion.

As noted by TMZ Sports and ESPN's Marc Raimondi, Perry got involved in an altercation involving several individuals, including his girlfriend, at a bar in Lubbock, Texas, on Tuesday evening. Perry accused one patron of touching him, punched a different older man in the face and then used racist language as his girlfriend pleaded for him to leave the venue.

TMZ added that cops reported Perry's victim was unconscious when they arrived at the scene.

Perry hasn't been arrested and no charges have been filed as of Thursday afternoon ET.

Perry appeared to respond to the matter via Twitter.

"No comment," he wrote.

Perry improved his professional record to 14-6 at the "UFC Fight Night" show held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on June 27 after he chose to have only his girlfriend in his corner. He gained positive attention from fans and observers following his victory and an excellent post-bout promo.
