Two of the most decorated women in MMA history will meet in a blockbuster title clash this fall. Women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her belt against strawweight champion Zhang Weili at UFC 322 on Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York, UFC CEO Dana White confirmed Thursday.

Champions Collide

Shevchenko (25-4 MMA, 15-3 UFC) is enjoying her second reign as flyweight champion, having regained the title with victories over Alexa Grasso and Manon Fiorot. Known for her precise striking and tactical brilliance, “Bullet” now faces one of the most dynamic and powerful fighters in the sport.

Weili (26-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC), also a two-time champion, enters the bout riding a five-fight win streak that includes four title fight victories. Her resume boasts decisive wins over Carla Esparza, Amanda Lemos, Xiaonan Yan, and Tatiana Suarez, cementing her as one of the greatest strawweights of all time. By vacating her 115-pound belt to pursue flyweight gold, Weili sets the stage for a superfight with massive historical implications.

Strawweight Title Picture

With Weili moving up, the vacant strawweight title will be contested between Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern on Oct. 25 at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi.

  • Jandiroba has earned her first title shot after an impressive run that includes wins over Angela Hill, Marina Rodriguez, Loopy Godinez, Amanda Lemos, and Xiaonan Yan.

  • Dern arrives on a two-fight streak of her own, defeating Godinez and Lemos in back-to-back outings.

A Historic Night at MSG

UFC 322 is shaping up as one of the year’s most stacked cards, featuring:

  • Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev — Welterweight title

  • Valentina Shevchenko vs. Zhang Weili — Women’s flyweight title

  • Leon Edwards vs. Carlos Prates

  • Erin Blanchfield vs. Tracy Cortez

What’s on the line

The Shevchenko-Weili bout represents one of the biggest super fights in women’s MMA history, pairing two dominant champions in their primes. If Shevchenko retains, she further cements her legacy as the greatest flyweight of all time. If Weili prevails, she becomes a two-division UFC champion and strengthens her case as one of the sport’s all-time greats.
