A’ja Wilson announced as cover athlete for NBA 2K

A’ja Wilson will be on the covers of two different versions of NBA 2K25. Wilson will be featured on the cover of the WNBA edition by herself with a picture of her holding the championship trophy.”Being featured on the NBA 2K25 cover is a big moment for me and a testament to the ever-growing fandom of the WNBA,” Wilson says in the post. “Seeing more and more WNBA athletes scanned into NBA 2K25 to best capture the style and confidence of the league has been empowering, and I can’t wait for fans to experience it in-game.”

Wilson will also make history appearing on the All-Star edition, which will also feature NBA star and 2024 championship winner Jayson Tatum. This is the first time NBA 2k’s cover has dual-league players.

Wilson, a two-time WNBA champion, WNBA MVP, 2024 Finals MVP, and two-time Defensive athlete of the Year, is also the first WNBA athlete to be featured on the cover of a global version of the game.

Fans who want to preorder the cover with A’ja Wilson can get one of the two options, with the game coming out on September 6th. Each edition of the game featuring Wilson on the cover will cost a different price.
