Mother Nature rolled into Dover, Delaware, on Saturday afternoon, canceling NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying at Dover Motor Speedway.
Torrential rains plagued the track all afternoon, and with the NASCAR Xfinity Series race slated for a 4:30 p.m. ET start, NASCAR called Cup Series track activity.
With the starting lineup for Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 set by NASCAR's metric, 2020 Cup Series champion and 2022 Dover winner Chase Elliott will start on the pole, with Pocono winner Chase Briscoe joining him on the front row.
Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick and William Byron will round out the top five, with Shane van Gisbergen, Michael McDowell, Joey Logano, Ty Gibbs and Kyle Busch completing the top 10.
Other notable drivers include Ryan Preece in 11th, Denny Hamlin in 13th, Alex Bowman in 16th, Bubba Wallace in 22nd and Kyle Larson in 25th.
Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 will go green shortly after 2 p.m. ET, with coverage on TNT, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will begin at 1 p.m. ET on PRN and at 1:30 p.m. ET on TNT. Hamlin is the defending race winner.
