Jeff Gordon made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 1992. A couple of years before he competed in the 1990 Chili Bowl Nationals. He finished 16th.
The Hendrick Motorsports vice chairman returned to Tulsa for the 2025 version of the premier midget race in the world to serve as the grand marshal. He served in the same role in 2022.
On Sunday, the NASCAR Hall of Famer shared a moving video on X that showed an incredible encounter he had with a special fan he had met 25 years earlier.
“Full-circle moments are truly unforgettable,” Gordon wrote on the post. “Back in 2000, I had the honor of hosting seven-year-old Cody Keeth, who was courageously battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Last night, we reunited. Special to see him after all these years and meet his family!”
The video starts with a photo of Gordon and the younger Keeth in 2000 before transitioning to the former driver meeting and shaking hands with Keeth, who says: “Thank you for everything.”
The video includes the HMS exec meeting Keeth’s wife and child and concludes with Gordon and his longtime fan posing together while holding the photo of them from 25 years ago.

The Tulsa meeting between the pair is yet another example confirming how NASCAR drivers and the relationships they develop with their fans are some of, if not the most authentic in all of sports.
