Just as it was when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series left Phoenix Raceway in November, the No. 11 TRICON Garage Toyota was at the top of the scoring pylon at Daytona International Speedway on Thursday.
But it wasn't 2025 Truck Series champion Corey Heim behind the wheel. Instead, it was Kaden Honeycutt piloting the No. 11 and putting it at the top of the speed chart in Thursday's Truck Series practice session.
Honeycutt set a fast lap of 48.43 seconds to lead the 37 trucks that took time in practice.
Taylor Gray, Grant Enfinger, 2021 Daytona 500 champion Michael McDowell and Cole Butcher rounded out the top-five, with Timmy Hill, 2023 Daytona 500 champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Dawson Sutton, Gio Ruggiero and John Hunter Nemechek completing the top-10.
Other notable practice results include two-time Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes in 11th, 2024 series champion Ty Majeski in 15th, Cleetus McFarland in 23rd, Carson Hocevar in 24th and NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart in 31st.
Clay Greenfield was slowest of the 37 trucks that took time, turning in a fast lap of 54.471 seconds. Seven trucks did not make a lap in practice.
Truck Series qualifying at Daytona will take place at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, with coverage on FS1. The Fresh From Florida 250 will go green shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET Friday, with coverage on FS1, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
