On Thursday, millions of Americans gathered together with their families and friends to celebrate the annual Thanksgiving holiday. For many, that tradition means watching football and enjoying an assortment of foods, including turkey, ham, stuffing, and a wide variety of desserts.
NASCAR Cup Series driver Riley Herbst apparently was not one of them and admitted as much with a Nov. 24 post on X.
"Thanksgiving food is not good," he wrote.
That original post received a mixed response, including several fan comments suggesting he wasn't eating the right food or having it prepared properly.
On Thanksgiving day, the new 23XI Racing driver replied to his post with "Bump" and a photo that showed his meal for the holiday — two tacos and a beer from what appeared to be at a resort in Mexico.
"Ur weird," Connor Zilisch responded to Herbst's post.
"Let me know when you're 21 and can have a beer with me," the former Stewart-Haas Racing driver fired back at the 2025 Xfinity Series rookie.
Unsurprisingly, the back-and-forth between the drivers got fans talking.

"bruh i thought thanksgiving was a moment of thanking each other," wrote one fan.
"We really have beef on turkey day," another replied.
Interestingly, the beef isn't due to any sort of on-track rivalry. With Zilisch turning 18 this year, the pair only competed against each other in four Xfinity races. The youngster finished ahead of the No. 98 pilot twice, including an impressive win at Watkins Glen. Conversely, the SHR driver won the season closer at Phoenix.
In 2025, the two will be running different series and won't compete against each other on a regular basis. However, whenever they do, we know there's already some existing tension and that could make the racing that much more interesting.
