Sam Mayer will spend the final weekend of the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season on an unscheduled vacation.
Mayer, the driver of the No. 41 Ford for Haas Factory Team, was suspended by NASCAR on Tuesday for the Nov. 1 season finale after intentionally wrecking fellow driver Jeb Burton on the cooldown lap following the checkered flag in the Oct. 25 race at Martinsville Speedway.
Mayer spun Burton in turn 1 after the race's conclusion, expressing his displeasure with Burton after a previous incident in Saturday's playoff race.
Mayer, who entered Martinsville still eligible for the 2025 Xfinity Series championship, was eliminated from playoff contention after finishing seventh on Saturday.

Despite his elimination in the Round of 8, Mayer still put together a solid debut season with Haas Factory Team, winning at Iowa Speedway on Aug. 3. With his suspension, Mayer will not have the opportunity to win a second race this season and end 2025 on a high note.
Justin Allgaier, Connor Zilisch, Carson Kvapil and Jesse Love are the four drivers who will be competing for the Xfinity Series title at Phoenix on Nov. 1.
