Carson Hocevar wrecked Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at Nashville Superspeedway two weeks ago. Stenhouse finished last in 39th. Hocevar finished second.
The Hyak Motorsports driver addressed the situation during a recent appearance on the Door Bumper Clear podcast.
“I told him, I’m like, ‘Dude, you’re so fast right now, just drive around me. You don’t need to make small percentage moves,'" Stenhouse said. "I mean, they obviously showed it (at Michigan), how fast they are right now, the last month and a half.
"But we’re past that. We got back on the horse this weekend. He definitely feels bad about it. You know, I hope he, at least when he’s around me, thinks about that. Around anybody else, I guess I don’t really care.”
On Sunday in Mexico, the No. 77 pilot did it again and got into the rear of the No. 47 car going through the stadium section of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and sent him for a spin. Moments after it happened, the 2023 Daytona 500 champion expressed his displeasure over the team radio.
“Tell him I will see him at Pocono,” Stenhouse said.

When the race ended south of the border, Hocevar finished 34th and Stenhouse finished 27th. Soon after stopping on pit road, the veteran walked over to the Spire car, leaned in and had some choice words.
“I’m gonna beat your ass,” Stenhouse said. “You’re a lap down. You got nothing to do. Why you going to run into me? Second time.”
“Yeah, I know,” Hocevar responded and started to explain.
“I don't give a damn,” Stenhouse fired back. “I’m going to beat your ass when we get back to the States.”
