Tyler Reddick on pole for Jack Link's 500 at Talladega after qualifying rained out

NASCAR Cup Series qualifying for Sunday's Jack Link's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway was rained out on Saturday morning, putting Daytona 500 champion and Cup Series points leader Tyler Reddick on the pole for Sunday's race by virtue of the NASCAR rulebook.

Reddick has won five of the first nine races of 2026, including the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway on April 19. He's the first driver to win five of the first nine races of a Cup Series campaign since Dale Earnhardt in 1987.

Where drivers will start at Talladega

Kansas runner-up and defending series champion Kyle Larson, who enters Sunday on a 33-race winless streak, will join Reddick on the front row, with Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace and Chase Briscoe rounding out the top five starters.

Brad Keselowski in sixth will be the highest-starting Ford driver in the field on Sunday, with William Byron, Chase Elliott, Ty Gibbs and Chris Buescher completing the top 10.

Other notable drivers and their starting spots include Carson Hocevar in 12th, Christopher Bell in 14th, Ryan Blaney in 15th, Alex Bowman in 20th and Joey Logano in 25th.

Defending Talladega spring winner Austin Cindric will start 13th on Sunday.

With no practice session for the Cup Series this weekend, Lap 1 of 188 on Sunday will be the first lap that drivers make all weekend. Sunday's Jack Link's 500 at Talladega is set to go green shortly after 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on Fox, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
