Tyler Reddick paces NASCAR Cup Series practice at Kansas Speedway

Tyler Reddick was the fastest man in the Heartland on Saturday afternoon. 

The Daytona 500 champion and NASCAR Cup Series points leader paced the lone Cup Series practice session of the weekend at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway, laying down a fastest lap of 29.559 seconds in a session that saw Reddick run 25 laps. 

Reddick won at Kansas in the fall of 2024, while his organization, 23XI Racing, has three victories at the track in eight Next-Gen races.

Reddick's 23XI teammate, Bubba Wallace, was second-fastest, with 23XI Racing co-owner and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin in third. A pair of JGR/Toyota drivers, Chase Briscoe and Ty Gibbs, rounded out the top five. 

Chris Buescher, Daniel Suarez, Christopher Bell, Chase Elliott and Carson Hocevar completed the top 10. Buescher was the fastest Ford driver in the session, with Suarez being the fastest Chevy driver. 

Other notable practice results include Ryan Blaney in 11th, Alex Bowman in 13th, Corey Heim in 15th, William Byron in 19th and Kyle Busch in 29th. 

Defending AdventHealth 400 winner Kyle Larson was 25th-fastest, while three-time Cup Series champion Joey Logano was 36th. Cole Custer was last (37th) of those who took time.
