The 2023-2024 All-NBA Teams have been revealed. LeBron James made history in the NBA as being the oldest player ever to receive the All-NBA team honor. LeBron is also the youngest player ever to receive that same honor.
He now has 20 All-NBA selections in his 21-year career. However, he didn’t make the All-NBA First team this year. He made the third-team honors. This year’s selections are unique, with a few surprises in between.
Shai and Nikola were the only unanimous selections for the first team. Luka was only one second-team vote away from being another unanimous pick in the first-team selection. Giannis was able to extend the longest active streak of first-team selections by getting his 6th consecutive first-team honor. He became the first player this season to average 30 points while shooting 60% from the field. Tatum is the first Boston Celtics player since Larry Bird to make an All-NBA first team in three consecutive years.
Jalen Brunson received the most votes for the second team with 98 total votes (37 first-place and 61 second-place votes). This is the first time Brunson and Anthony Edwards have received this honor for their regular-season play.
LeBron continues his historic consecutive streak with this honor, notching this honor for a record twentieth straight time. He also recorded the best season for a 39 year old player in NBA history with a 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, and 7.3 rebounds stat line. Haliburton is the first Pacers player to have earned this honor since Victor Oladipo in the 2017-2018 season.
