3 Potential Trade Targets for Kings This Offseason

It has been a disappointing season thus far for the Sacramento Kings and changes may be coming in the offseason.

Of course, the Kings have already seen their fair share of changes this season as they replaced their head coach and also traded way their star point guard De’Aaron Fox. Because of this, Sacramento has struggled as they currently sit 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 30-28 record.

With the Kings struggling this season, major changes to their roster may be coming in the summer. Bleacher Reports’ Zach Buckley recently named three potential trade targets for the Kings in the offseason to upgrade their roster, including finding a replacement for Fox.

The three players Buckley named were Dejounte Murray, Lonzo Ball and Buddy Hield.

With the Kings looking for their next point guard, Murray would be a perfect option. Of course, it may take a lot for the New Orleans Pelicans to give him up, but he would definitely be a great fit as Fox’s predecessor in Sacramento. Murray is a great scorer and would also give the Kings a much-needed defender to help them take another step forward next season.

Ball would also be a great fit for the Kings. Of course, it would be a risky move if Sacramento was to make a deal with the Chicago Bulls for him due to his injury history, but he would give the Kings a solid point guard that is a reliable scorer and defender.

The third player Buckley named was Hield, who would help improve the Kings’ offensive numbers. Hield is an elite three-point shooter who would fit well off the bench in Sacramento. The Golden State Warriors may not want to give up Hield, but if Sacramento was to offer them a solid package, that could open the door for the Kings to land him.

All three of the players Buckley named would be great fits in Sacramento and with the Kings looking to revamp their lineup in the offseason, do not be surprised if they make a move for one of these players.
