Who is the tallest player in the NBA?

Basketball, more so than any other sport, is a game where height and size matter. It isn’t unusual for players to be in the 6-foot-10 to 7-foot range in professional basketball. One player, however, stands above the rest. Tacko Fall, who stands 7-foot-6 and played at Central Florida, is the tallest player in the NBA. In June 2019, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Boston Celtics.

Who are close behind?

Fall is far and away the tallest player in the game, but there are other giants as well. At 7-foot-3,  Boban Marjanovic and Kristaps Porzingis of the Dallas Mavericks are three inches shorter than Fall and tied for the second-tallest player in the NBA. Behind them are Bol Bol of the Denver Nuggets and another Maverick, Salah Mejri, at 7-foot-2.

Who are the tallest players in NBA history?

Fall is right up there among the tallest players in NBA history. Gheorghe Muresan and Bol Bol’s father, Manute, both were 7-foot-7. Right behind them at 7-foot-6 are Shawn Bradley and Yao Ming, who had a Hall of Fame career with the Houston Rockets.
