Ant Edwards Admits He Wanted To Redeem Himself After A Bad First Half In Game 3

The first two quarters of Game 3 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors was a slugfest. It was a slow-paced game, and both teams struggled with shooting from beyond the arc. Anthony Edwards scored eight points, but he struggled to get his proper rhythm.

He did not play well up to his standards in the first half, which is why he stepped up in the second. He finished the game with 36 points, four rebounds, and four assists. It was a tremendous second half filled with highlight moments to remember.

This was the Anthony Edwards game people had been waiting for in this series. Granted, he suffered an injury in Game 2, so he looked a step slower. That was not the case in the second half because he was moving all over the court, and he had a highlight dunk over Kevon Looney.

He looked fresh, reminiscent of how he played against the Los Angeles Lakers in the previous round. Edwards took over the game, and the Warriors had no answer for him, as Jimmy Butler did not score in the final eight minutes of the game.

Edwards Felt His First Half Of Game 3 Was Bad

Since Game 7 of the series against the Lakers, Edwards has not looked like the world-beater it expects him to be. His shot has not been falling, but he has made a significant impact on the game. It was not enough in Game 1, and in Game 2, it was a good Edwards game.

However, he had not tapped into his potential yet because everyone knows he can flip the switch and dominate a game. That happened in Game 3 because the Timberwolves looked stagnant at times, but it was Edwards and Julius Randle who gave them the boost they needed.

"Me personally? I stunk in the first half. Shots will fall, shots won't fall sometimes. As long as you trust the work, keep shooting it, shooting it with confidence, you'll be alright," Edwards said after the game.

This is a good sign for the rest of the series because Edwards looks confident and ready to keep this momentum going. The Warriors should be afraid because a confident Edwards could spell the end of their season.

The Timberwolves Can Regain Home Court Advantage In Game 4

With this win, the Timberwolves have control of the series. However, they still do not have the full home-court advantage. If they win Game 4, they can come home to Target Center with a chance to end the series in five games, just like the previous one.

It will be a tough test for the Timberwolves because the Warriors are a challenging opponent. The defense has been the main weapon against the Timberwolves because Minnesota has been thrown off the game a bit.

However, Edwards and Randle have got past that in Game 3, which bodes well for the Timberwolves' chances of winning Game 4.
