Bill Simmons has chimed in with his opinion on Bradley Beal’s move to the LA Clippers after a contract buyout with the Phoenix Suns.
The three-time All-Star was one of the big trades Mat Ishbia made when he bought the team.
However, Bradley Beal‘s time with the Phoenix Suns has been nothing short of disappointing and after months of talks, he finally decided to move on from the team.
The LA Clippers were able to sign him on a two-year $11 million deal, which caused a lot of disappointment among LA Lakers fans.
NBA expert Bill Simmons shared his opinions on the move, and it is safe to say he is not a big fan of Beal going to the Clippers.

One of the biggest problems Beal faced with the Suns was fitting alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
All three of them were elite scorers, which made it difficult for them to co-exist and eventually Beal had to be dropped to the bench.
The 32-year-old showed up with some brilliant performances, but in the long run, the Suns could not succeed with all three of them.
They first traded Durant and got players like Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks as part of the move.
Booker was given an extension, and just a week later, Beal’s contract buyout was made official, with him now set to join the Clippers.
Bill Simmons shared a tweet on X, where he questioned how Beal’s move to the Clippers would bring similar problems to the ones the Suns had.
His tweet read: “So things went south with Beal in Phoenix because he resented being a role player/supporting guy to KD/Book and not having the ball enough… but now he’s happy being a role player/supporting guy to Harden/Kawhi and not having the ball enough? Sorry just trying to keep up.”

Former Suns player Eddie Johnson was not pleased with Simmons’ thoughts and replied to him.
He said: “Where did you get that from? Beal was amazing last year, he just had bad luck with injuries Bill. He was extremely supportive while on bench and was extremely unselfish on the floor. Rip the big 3 for not working out but I saw zero negativity amongst the 3 guys on or off floor!”
Simmons decided to drop a sarcastic comment to Johnson’s reply.
It read: “Eddie I think your account was hacked.”

While Simmons’ views are valid, Beal is still one of the best shooting guards in the league and can score 20 or more on any given night.
His problem in Phoenix was not being the third fiddle, but playing off the ball as Durant and Booker ran the show there.
The Clippers have Harden and Leonard, who will certainly lead the way for them, but Beal gives them an added scoring option.
Player | Position |
Point Guard | James Harden |
Shooting Guard | Bradley Beal |
Small Forward | Kawhi Leonard |
Power Forward | John Collins |
Center | Brook Lopez |
After bringing in John Collins and Brook Lopez, the Clippers strengthened their frontcourt, and Beal further elevates the roster with his multi-level scoring.
The team has not done anything meaningful in the playoffs, but after having added Beal and the others, it looks like the next season could be when the Clippers take the leap.
