The Denver Nuggets are set to enter the 2025-26 NBA season as one of the top teams in the Western Conference after they made some notable roster upgrades this offseason.
Of course, the Nuggets were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Oklahoma City Thunder last season, though they did push the series to seven games.
With their star trio of Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon returning next season, the Nuggets are expected to be a threat in the West once again, especially after making some major changes to their roster.
Denver began the offseason by trading Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson.
They then signed Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. in free agency and acquired Jonas Valanciunas from the Sacramento Kings.
With these moves, many around the NBA believe that the Nuggets will be the biggest threat to the Oklahoma City Thunder next season in the West.
On Thursday, the NBA officially released the 2025-26 schedule for every team and here are some of the most notable matchups for the Nuggets.
Denver will begin their season on October 23 when they travel to the Chase Center to take on the Golden State Warriors on ESPN.
Their home opener comes on October 25 when they host the new-look Phoenix Suns at Ball Arena.
The Nuggets will begin group play in the Emirates NBA Cup on October 31 when they travel to take on the Portland Trail Blazers before hosting the Warriors on November 7 on Amazon Prime.
Denver will then travel to face the Houston Rockets on November 21 on Amazon Prime before ending NBA Cup Group Play at home against the San Antonio Spurs on November 28.
Some other notable dates on the Nuggets’ 2025-26 schedule include a Christmas Day matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on ABC and Johnson’s return to Brooklyn to face the Nets on January 4.
January 29 marks Porter Jr.’s first return to Denver since being traded to the Nets this summer.
The Nuggets will play their final home regular season game against the Thunder on April 10 before ending the regular season on April 12 in San Antonio against the Spurs.
Denver has a ton of marquee matchups this season as they try to land a top seed in the West and chase another championship.
