Bucks face tough home test against league best Thunder

The Milwaukee Bucks will host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, January 21, with tip-off scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks enter the game 18-24 and 11th in the Eastern Conference, while the Thunder hold a 36-8 record and sit atop the NBA and the Western Conference standings.

The Thunder enter the matchup itching to start a winning streak after a 136-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 19. Milwaukee also comes off a W, narrowly defeating the Atlanta Hawks 112-110 in their most recent outing. This marks the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Bucks vs. Thunder injury report

The Bucks are dealing with multiple injury concerns . Alex Antetokounmpo is out on a G League two-way assignment, while Taurean Prince continues his recovery from neck surgery. Myles Turner (left ankle sprain) and Kevin Porter Jr. (oblique strain) are listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game.

Mark Daigneault and the Thunder are also dealing with several injuries. Key players sidelined include Jalen Williams (right hamstring strain), Alex Caruso (right adductor strain), Isaiah Hartenstein (right soleus strain), Thomas Sorber (recovering from a right ACL surgery), and Nikola Topic (post-surgery recovery). Jaylin Williams is listed as questionable with a left glute contusion.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is leading the charge , averaging 28.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, with Kevin Porter Jr. chipping in 16.8 points and 7.4 assists.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is still driving the Thunder’s offense, posting 31.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game, while Chet Holmgren adds 18 points and 8.5 boards.
