Bulls Injury Update: Zach LaVine Progressing Toward Return
Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls are finally starting to see positive news on the Zach LaVine injury front. The two-time All-Star guard was assigned to the Windy City Bulls on Monday to begin taking contact in practice, and he now has a potential return date.

Head coach Billy Donovan said LaVine had a "very positive" practice on Tuesday. He wouldn't rule out LaVine playing on Friday but remained non-committal.

When LaVine returns to action, he'll join a new-look Bulls team. In his absence, the Bulls have adapted a free-flowing, ball-moving style of play. LaVine's heavy isolation game will have to take a backseat for the Bulls to be successful.

While the change in play style is necessary, LaVine will still need to provide his consistent scoring touch. With Nikola Vucevic injured and Coby White struggling from the field, the Bulls could use LaVine's scoring prowess as they fight to surge up the Eastern Conference standings.
