The Bulls have officially announced they’ve reached an agreement with guard Josh Giddey on a multiyear contract extension.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though ESPN’s Shams Charania reported it’s for four years and $100 million.
Giddey, 22, was acquired from the Thunder in June of 2024 and made an immediate impact in his first season in Chicago. He averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists while starting 69 of 70 games.
He also posted 30 double-doubles and seven triple-doubles — the most by a Bulls guard since Michael Jordan.
The 6-foot-8 playmaker joins LeBron James and Nikola Jokic as the only players last season to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists. The Bulls noted he became just the second player in franchise history, alongside Jordan, to average at least 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in a season.
“Giddey’s performances went to a higher level after the All-Star break,” Charania wrote.
Over his final 30 games, Giddey averaged 18.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 7.8 assists while shooting nearly 44 percent from three.
Originally the No. 6 pick in the 2021 draft, Giddey has averaged 14.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 280 career games with the Thunder and Bulls.
