The Chicago Bulls defeated the Sacramento Kings in a competitive matchup, outscoring them 128 to 116. This game marked the first time the Bulls faced Zach LaVine since the three-team trade in February. Both teams were missing key players like Josh Giddey for the Bulls and Domantas Sabonis for the Kings. Nonetheless, Coby White maintained his hot streak, while Kevin Huerter joined him in delivering an unexpected revenge performance. This highly anticipated matchup took fans on a rollercoaster ride right at tip-off.

In the first quarter, two surprising players, Malik Monk, and Trey Lyles, teamed up for 27 points. The Bulls initially held a six-point lead until Monk drained three consecutive three-pointers, aided by defensive pressure from Keegan Murray. Many fans anticipated LaVine and DeMar DeRozan would be the offensive aggressors, given they were facing their former team, but that was not the case. As the quarter came to a close, the Bulls found themselves in an early double-digit deficit.

Kevin Huerter quietly increased his scoring output with seven points, while the rest of the Bulls struggled to find their offensive rhythm. Lyles and Monk’s hot streak quickly cooled, as they managed only six points combined in the second quarter. Although the Kings ended the half with a nine-point lead, it was clear they had lost the momentum they built.
As the second half began, the Bulls wasted no time, chipping away at the Kings’ lead. Nikola Vucevic forced a timeout by making back-to-back three-pointers from the same spot while Sacramento didn't make a three-pointer in the quarter. After a few trips to the free-throw line, the Kings became jesters as they watched their lead evaporate.

By the time the final quarter arrived, it was too late, as the duo of Huerter and White mirrored Lyles and Monk’s first quarter performance, also combining for 27 points. Aside from their three-point shooting, White went to the free-throw line eight times, which helped secure another road victory.
