New details are emerging this week on the death of Darius Morris.

TMZ Sports reported Saturday on Morris’ cause of death, as per the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s death investigation summary. According to the report, the official cause of death was coronary artery disease. TMZ reported that "drug and alcohol use was a significant factor in Darius' death ... specifically, the effects of cocaine, hydrocodone and ethanol."

Morris’ death is officially being ruled accidental.

A four-year NBA veteran who played from 2011 to 2015, Morris was just 33 years old when he died last month. Also a former standout for the University of Michigan, Morris averaged 3.3 points and 1.4 assists a game for his NBA career and later went on to play overseas in China, Russia and France.
