The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Houston Rockets on Monday night, looking to capture their 50th win of the NBA season and continue to extend their lead in the Western Conference standings.
The game was close at halftime, with Oklahoma City holding a narrow one-point lead. However, a dominant third quarter ultimately proved to be the difference, as the Thunder outscored the Rockets by 12.
Oklahoma City went on to win 137-128, thanks to Shai Gilgeous-Alexanders' fourth 50-point outing of the season, all of which occurred in the last 19 games. This time, he scored 51 on 18-of-30 shooting, along with five rebounds and seven assists.
After the game, Thunder center Chet Holmgren was asked about Gilgeous-Alexander's performance.
“You know, you look up, and it seems quiet," Holmgren said. "Like it's all tough buckets, tough moves. But you look up, you see third quarter, he's got 40 already. You know, you're not even surprised, but you're kind of like wowed by it. So, no glaze, but he tough."
"You're not even surprised."

Fans aren't surprised anymore, either, as they took to social media to share their reactions to Holmgren's words.
"No surprises here!" one fan said.
"Cos he knows," another wrote.
"Shai dropping 50 for the 4th time and it’s becoming ‘normal’?" said a fan. "The disrespect to this man's greatness is unreal. If he played in LA or NYC, he'd be the MVP by now."
"Not at all," added another.
"No one is suprised it's normal thing for him ," said a fan.
"Not surprised at all!" one added.
