The Chicago Bulls are moving forward with their coaching search this offseason. After putting in requests to interview coaching candidates, the team has now moved forward with at least one interview.
Chicago needs to act fast in terms of finding a coach as we are officially under a month away from the 2026 NBA Draft. From there, there will be free agency so it’s important that the vision for the roster with the head coach matches up with Bryson Graham. It shouldn’t a long process at all and with the team beginning interviews, it could move in a hurry.
On Friday, the Bulls are set to interview a coach that comes from a successful franchise and someone who is a very intriguing option.
The first known interview in this process will go to Miami Heat assistant coach Chris Quinn as Michael Scotto reported on Friday . Quinn comes from the Erik Spoelstra coaching tree.

He’s worked under Spoelstra’s staff since 2014 with the Miami Heat, joining them after the back-to-back titles. He was on staff as the Heat made the NBA Finals in 2020 and 2023. As Scotto notes, Quinn has a “a strong background in player development.” That includes working with players like Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.
Quinn played his college basketball at Notre Dame and then had a professional career from 2006-13. During that time, he played for Cleveland, San Antonio, and New Jersey. He also had stops in the G-League as well.
Chicago has also expressed interest in Charlotte’s Lamar Skeeter and Atlanta’s Ryan Schmidt. There are also reports that the Bulls are interested in Dave Bliss (Oklahoma City Thunder), Micah Nori (Minnesota Timberwolves), James Borrego (New Orleans Pelicans), Jerry Stackhouse (Golden State Warriors), Wes Unseld Jr. (Chicago Bulls) and Tiago Splitter (Portland Trailblazers).
