Clippers sign four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins to second 10-day contract

DeMarcus Cousins is sticking around Los Angeles for a bit longer.

The Clippers signed the veteran big man to a second 10-day contract on Friday, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. He signed his first 10-day deal on April 5.

The Clippers turned to Cousins with Serge Ibaka out with a back injury. He has appeared in three games for the Clippers this season, averaging six points, three rebounds and 0.7 assists per game while shooting 46.7% from the field.

The 30-year-old is looking to revive his career after a torn ACL caused him to miss the entire 2019-20 campaign. Cousins began the 2020-21 season with the Houston Rockets, but they released him in February.

L.A. is third in the Western Conference with a 39-18 record, sitting behind the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns.
