San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has a plethora of moves that keep fans on the edge of their seats. Even current and former NBA players get taken aback from time to time with how Wemby can move on the floor. Given that he’s 7-foot-3, it’s mind-boggling that he can move like a backcourt player in some situations.

Wembanyama has only played in the league for two seasons, and already has plenty of highlights. Whether it’s on offense or defense, the big man knows how to move well on the floor.

On Monday. NBA legend Kevin Garnett was asked about the young star’s ability to handle the ball and dominate in the post. Garnett highlighted one offensive play where Wemby toyed with his defender with the shammgod move. The one-time champion couldn’t believe how the Spurs star did it in the post.

A video of Garnett’s reaction to Wemby’s highlight was posted on X via his show’s page, “KG Certified.”

“Man, come on, man. He shammgod’d a n***a from the post! … That was the craziest s**t I’ve ever seen a big n***a do,” Garnett said.

According to KG, Wemby’s move should be considered the move of the year, while explaining how hard it is to execute due to the physicality.

“This move of the year, y’all. The post, other than any other position, is the most physical. The four post man, the two power forwards and two centers, that’s every other play, y’all just beating up each other.

“Think about from the post. A n***a hitting you, you gotta — you adjusting to it. Man, he turned around and just start hitting the man… It was so hard.”

The San Antonio Spurs star is on a level of his own due to his height, length and ability to move like a guard.

With the looming retirement of stars LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, the league has started to explore which player can take over as the face of the NBA. Many have argued that the San Antonio Spurs center can be the next best thing.

Not only are the fans the ones endorsing Wemby’s future, even former NBA star Joakim Noah.

“He’s definitely the next face of the league,” Noah said. “I think the world can see that. Somebody who’s high IQ, really smart.”

Many fans and players believe Wemby has the potential to be the poster boy of the league once the stars retire.
