Devin Booker finds another way to put Arizona on his sneakers

PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker once again tied his signature shoe to the place he has called home throughout his professional career, using one of Arizona’s most recognizable roadside landmarks: the only McDonald’s with Blue Arches.

The special-edition sneaker pays homage to the famous Sedona location, known for its turquoise-blue arches that blend with the city’s earthy tones. The restaurant changed its colors decades ago to better fit the surrounding landscape, but in doing so, it also became a unique Arizona symbol that visitors from around the country — and the world — stop to see while passing through.

For Booker, the tribute continues a pattern that has defined both his personal brand and signature line. Since arriving in Phoenix as a rookie in 2015, the All-Star has consistently embraced Arizona culture, desert aesthetics and local nostalgia in his apparel and designs.

While many athletes draw inspiration from global trends, Booker has rooted much of his identity in the state he has represented for more than a decade. That connection has extended beyond basketball, as he has established himself as a fixture in the community.

The repeated Arizona references reinforce authenticity, signaling that his ties to the region go beyond the name across his chest and instead reflect years spent building a legacy in the Valley. The blue-arches Book 2 release also reflects the Suns guard’s growing reputation for storytelling through footwear.

Rather than simply releasing performance shoes, Booker is using his line to spotlight pieces of Arizona culture that locals instantly recognize.

In many ways, Booker’s latest shoe serves as both a celebration of Arizona and a reflection of the bond he has built with the state over the past decade.
