The Golden State Warriors didn’t just lose to Phoenix. They crashed out in full drama mode. Down late with 1:06 left, Draymond Green fouled Devin Booker during an inbound play, tempers flared instantly, and both stars were tossed by veteran official Scott Foster.
The Suns closed out a 111-96 win, ending Golden State’s 2025-26 season and punching their own playoff ticket. Booker kept it light afterward, comparing Green’s frustration to someone losing at NBA Live. Green stayed quiet at first, which usually means something is coming later.
On the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” he unpacked the moment and challenged the version spreading online. According to Green, the play was a standard foul, not some wild, cheap shot. He said:
“Devin Booker told Scott Foster that I punched him in the stomach, which is a lie… He thought I was calling him a choice word which I was not calling him, I was calling Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green that, what really pissed me off is we got ejected and we weren’t cursing at each other or anything.”

Green directly accused Booker of selling a false story to Foster and blamed that for the double ejection. He said the officials knew it was not a punch after review, yet still handed out ejections once the argument escalated.
Green kept it real after the Warriors’ rough season exit. Golden State’s play-in loss to Phoenix capped a frustrating year, and he had a quiet night with just five points as the Suns rolled.
The bigger reveal came later on The Draymond Green Show. Green admitted the season wore him down hard, especially after Jimmy Butler’s ACL injury crushed any title hopes. At multiple points, he said he wanted to quit.
However, Steve Kerr kept pulling him back in. Draymond Green said Kerr always knew what to say and how to reset his mindset. One message hit hardest: Kerr reminded him he’s a winner.est: Kerr reminded him he’s a winner.
