Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green recently shared an incident during the 2025 EuroBasket.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic recently featured in a group stage EuroBasket 2025 game against France.
As usual, Doncic was a dominant force on the hardwood, finishing the night with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists while shooting 8-of-20 from the field.
Despite Doncic’s efforts, Slovenia ended up with a 103-95 loss at the hands of the French basketball team.
With the game already decided, Doncic was seen shaking hands with French players before the final buzzer sounded.
The Lakers star did so with French guard Sylvain Francisco as well, who had the ball in his hands during the dying seconds of the game.
As Francisco shook hands with Doncic, he also proceeded to finish a wide-open layup to add two more points to France’s final tally.

Considering the game was already over, Francisco’s actions have been called out by basketball fans around the globe. The list also included Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, who threw shade at the French.
“This is why it was important to beat France in Paris! Go USA,” Green wrote on Threads.
Green was obviously referring to the Team USA vs. France gold medal game during the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the U.S. emerged victorious.
As evident in the above-attached video, Doncic was understandably frustrated by Francisco’s actions toward the end of the game.
Doncic addressed the defeat against France along with his late-game actions during the postgame conference.
“I know that sometimes I lose my temper, but I try to help the team. I do all this out of goodwill, no one wants anything bad, and I think we are getting better every day,” Doncic said.
Slovenia is currently in fifth spot in Group D as they remain among the handful of teams at EuroBasket 2025 yet to win even a single game.
