Dwyane Wade’s Car Got Stolen In Miami But Udonis Haslem Managed To Resolve The Situation

Udonis Haslem always had his teammates' backs on the court and it turns out that was the case off the court too. Dwyane Wade appeared on the latest episode of The OGs show where he revealed his car got stolen once but Haslem managed to get it back.

Dwyane Wade: "He talked about it when I got my car stolen. Somebody came and got my stuff from the crib. I ain't know what to do."

Mike Miller: "You (Haslem) had to handle that one, didn't you?"

Wade: "That was the first one."

Udonis Haslem: "I had to go get it back."

Wade: "It was that Blue Escalade."

Haslem: "Yeah, the Blue Escalade with the... truck back."

Wade: "My blue wheels, 26-inch wheels, I was rolling through Miami and they got me... I came out to go to practice, I was like, 'Must have parked it down the street I guess.' First person I called before I called the police (or) anybody, I called UD., 'Hey man, they got me.' I got my jewelry in there and everything. I had my chains in there. I'm young and dumb. Man, UD got that s*** back for me. I kept the chains and got rid of the truck."

Haslem: "He ain't want the truck."

Wade: "I ain't want the truck. I felt violated... I don't know what they've been doing in this car. Give me something else."

Haslem: "Shoutout Big T. My dawgs in Wynwood. You know what it is. It's always a phone call away killer."

Just a friendly reminder that you shouldn't mess with people close to Haslem if you're in Miami. It doesn't look like his friends in Wynwood would have much trouble tracking anyone down.

Unfortunately for Haslem's friends, Wade didn't want to use that Escalade after it was stolen once. At least he kept those chains.

Wade brought up the fact that Haslem has spoken about this incident in the past and so I looked it up. His version of events during an appearance on the Knuckleheads podcast was slightly different, though.

"I remember one time somebody had stole his car and he had a chain in the car," Haslem said. "So he told me he found out somebody stole his car. So, I said, 'Hey, listen, you want me to find out what's going on?'

"I get a phone call," Haslem continued. "So, my homeboy tell me okay such and such we found out where the chain at we found out where the car at. Ask D-Wade if he want the chain, whatever whatever... I think he found the car. That's what happened, he found the car but he ain't get his jewelry back."

"So, I had found out where the jewelry was at," Haslem added. "I say (to Wade), 'My homeboy found where your jewelry was at. Do you want your jewelry back?' He was like, 'Yeah.' I was like, 'Cool. I'mma get the jewelry back. But listen... If I get this jewelry back, however they get it back is how they get it back.' (Wade replied) 'Nah nah nah. I don't want it back.'"

So according to Haslem's earlier version, Wade didn't want that jewelry back. He didn't want his teammate's friends to cause any trouble and was fine with losing that chain. I wonder which version is true, but the fact remains that Haslem tracked down that car for Wade. I'm sure the guard greatly appreciated that.

Wade and Haslem were teammates for 14-and-a-half seasons on the Miami Heat and formed quite a special bond over the years. They won three championships together in 2006, 2012, and 2013, and are two of the greatest players in franchise history.
