Inside the NBA is the most popular show related to the NBA. Sadness struck everyone when it was announced that the NBA on TNT was coming to an end.
At first, Inside the NBA appeared to be coming to an end. This outraged fans as they truly love the chemistry of the cast.
After the Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, TNT’s coverage of the NBA officially ended. The show and the crew will stay together next season, but it will air on ESPN.
Still, their run on TNT has ended and it was an emotional time for the entire crew. After the game, Ernie Johnson, the face of Inside the NBA, gave an emotional speech as the show signed off one last time on TNT.
“Gratitude is the operative word for me,” Johnson said. “Grateful that since 1989 I’ve been with this company. No matter what you call the company, I’ll always be Turner. I’m grateful that I’ve worked with you guys, and I’m grateful for all of the relationships we’ve built professionally and personally through the years.
“The craziness that you’ve seen, the nonsense and the foolishness and the top-notch basketball analysis, all of that stuff’s going to be on ESPN or ABC, not on TNT. For that, we’re sad. But I’m proud to say for the last time: thanks for watching us. It’s the NBA on TNT.”

The show will go on indeed, as you will not have to miss the chemistry and antics of Johnson, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O’Neal, and Charles Barkley. They will just have to turn on another TV station from now on.
