Evan Turner Convinced About Knicks

The Knicks' epic comeback, which is the largest fourth-quarter comeback in a Conference Finals game in the play-by-play era, has former NBA player Evan Turner convinced that New York can beat Cleveland in the series.

Speaking to Athlon Sports, via betFIRST, Turner said that he sees the Knicks advancing to the NBA Finals considering the way they are playing right now and the depth they have shown.

"I got the Knicks winning right now," Turner stated. "I think the Knicks are playing at a great level."

Turner proceeded to heap praise on the Knicks' players who have embraced their role and stepped up, such as Towns and Mikal Bridges.

"I wanna give credit to Karl-Anthony Towns for accepting his role and for being dominant in his role. And you've seen Mikal Bridges, he's stepping up scoring. Mikal Bridges is always involved. They have a lot of shooters, a lot of guys stepping up," the former Boston Celtics assistant coach added.

Turner also noted that the Knicks are doing a "good job adjusting," as seen with the way they came from behind to beat the Cavaliers in Game 1. He noted that things will only get tougher for Cleveland as well with Anunoby back. Anunoby returned from a two-game absence due to a hamstring strain.

Can the Cavaliers Beat the Knicks?

During the Knicks' fourth-quarter comeback against the Cavs, Brunson relentlessly attacked James Harden. That being said, for Cleveland to beat New York, Turner said that head coach Kenny Atkinson need to widen the court and surround Harden with more defensive players to make up for his lack of defense.

"I also think one thing that they have to do is be able to, you know, make the court as wide as possible defensively, because obviously, they're trying to attack James Harden," Turner added.

"They're trying to expose matchups and go at what they want, and I'm just viewing that as what has to be the next big thing."

Turner noted that when deciding lineups and rotation, the Cavs need to make sure that they "switch it out" so Harden doesn't have to guard the pick and roll.
