Brandon Ingram praised the Toronto Raptors’ chemistry and togetherness after they extended their winning run to nine games with a 97-95 victory against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday evening.

The former Most Improved Player of the Year winner hit a clutch midrange jumper over Pascal Siakam with 0.6 seconds left to secure the win for the Toronto Raptors. Ingram finished the match with a game-high 26 points, eight rebounds, and two steals on 11-for-23 shooting from the field across 38 minutes of action.

“Everybody’s bought in. I think everybody on the team is selfless,” Ingram told Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun. “We just want to win. Whatever it takes, I think everybody is brought into what we’re doing. Nobody has an ego on the floor, off the floor. Really good at communicating in real time and talking about the game.”

“I think it’s more enjoying the process. I don’t think one person in the locker room has talked about the streak,” he continued. “I don’t think Darko will let that creep into the locker room. Take it by day. Every day is an opportunity to get better. Just worry about the next opponent.

Toronto Raptors News: Jamal Shead doubles down on Brandon Ingram’s comments on team chemistry

Jamal Shead is happy with the Toronto Raptors’ progress over the past few months, considering where the team came from last season. In Shead’s rookie season in 2024-25, the team posted a 30-52 regular season record.

“I mean, it’s awesome. We’re turning around from last year. We saw the potential last year, and it’s really cool to see it kind of sprout,” Shead stated.

“Same way we didn’t get swept up in the losing last year,” he added. “I think we just stay one game at a time. Stay positive with each other, and keep the message the same. It’s about winning. It’s about playing hard. It’s about doing all the right things to try to put us in position to win.”
