The Oklahoma City Thunder are just three wins away from their first NBA Championship in the organization's history. It's just the second time the Thunder have made the NBA Finals, their first coming in 2012 when they lost to the Miami Heat 4-1.
The Thunder could be going to Indianapolis up 2-0 if it weren't for Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton's clutch shot with 0.3 seconds remaining to steal Game 1. But the Thunder responded admirably with stifling defense to tie the series at one.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been continuing his production from the MVP regular season we just saw from him. Some players see their production dip when the defensive intensity ramps up in the playoffs, though that hasn't been the case for Gilgeous-Alexander.
Through two games, he's averaging 36 points per game and has even ramped up his intensity on defense, totalling seven steals. Ahead of an all-important game 3, former NBA player Shawn Marion revealed what he believes is the only adjustment the Pacers can make in hopes of stopping the MVP award winner.
"One of the only adjustments you probably could make guarding him is probably trapping him, get the ball out of his hand," Marion said. "For the most part, all teams switch everything one through five regardless of who's on the floor."

The Pacers would have to sell out on stopping Gilgeous-Alexander. However, the Thunder have multiple players who are capable of making them pay if the Pacers do indeed decide to send two defenders to trap him.
The Thunder were one of the best teams on the road in the regular season and will look to take a lead in the series when the two teams face off in Game 3 Wednesday night.
