Fans React To Timberwolves Comeback Win Over The Bulls

The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up a convincing 135-119 road win over the Chicago Bulls in the iconic United Center in Chicago. The Bulls enjoyed a lead as big as 13 points during the second quarter and controlled the game for almost the entire night before being outscored by 21 points in a disastrous fourth quarter which improved the Wolves record to 5-3 on the season.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves as their superstar, ending the night with 33 points (13-23 FG), eight rebounds, and six assists in an all-around showing. Rudy Gobert (9-11 FG) had 21 points and nine rebounds while Julius Randle had 22 points (8-15 FG) and 10 rebounds in another great showing. Mike Conley notched a double-double with 14 points (5-9 FG) and 11 assists.

"Anthony Edwards really gaslit himself into becoming Steph Curry lmao," said a fan remarking about Edwards high-volume three-point shooting this season.

"Anthony Edwards slowing turning into a willing passer. We used to pray for times like this," said another fan glad that Edwards is developing better playmaking instincts while on-ball instead of forcing shots as he had in earlier season.

"Anthony Edwards’s currently is the best shooter in the NBA, you can’t dispute it," said one fan about Edwards starting the season as a 46.1% three-point shooter while attempting 11.1 threes per game.

"I can't wait until the Bulls find their version of Anthony Edwards. This organization needs a superstar so damn bad," said a frustrated Bulls fan after watching the Timberwolves win this game behind their 23-year-old superstar.

"Something to consider is that having Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle, Naz Reid, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Mike Conley, Donte DiVincenzo, and Jaden McDaniels all on the same team might be good," said a fan remarking at the talent on the Timberwolves guaranteeing them success.

"Julius Randle deserves all of his flowers tonight. He refused to let the Wolves die when they had nothing in the 2Q. Kept everyone afloat until Ant could go full takeover mode. A very hard-earned 22 points, 8 boards, and 3 dimes (should be closer to 6 or 7)," said a fan praising Julius Randle for his contributions.

The Bulls were in control for most of the game, with Nikola Vucevic leading them with 25 points (11-15 FG) and five rebounds. Coby White had 24 points (9-15 FG) and eight assists while Josh Giddey put on a passing display with nine points (3-12 FG) and 13 assists in the loss. 

They had no defensive or offensive shape in the fourth quarter where they gave up 45 points while scoring just 24 in what ended up being a blowout 16-point loss after the Wolves took control of the game with a 30-9 run in the fourth quarter, where Edwards and Gobert combined to score 24 points while going 9-9 from the field between the two of them.

The performance from the Wolves bench remains a major concern, as every bench played was a net-negative on the court tonight, especially reigning Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid, who put up just four points (2-7 FG) in the win. Outside of Reid and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, they don't have reliable bench contributors but are yet to give extended opportunities to rookies Terrence Shannon Jr. and Robert Dillingham. 

The Bulls' solid 3-2 start to the season has already unraveled with this being their fourth loss in a row. Zach LaVine is injured after an electrifying start to the season, so the Bulls will need LaVine back on the court ASAP if they intend to make a Playoff push this season.

The Timberwolves will face the Portland Trail Blazers at home next while the Bulls will face the Atlanta Hawks on the road.
