Final Injury Report for Grizzlies-Rockets: Will Kevin Durant, Alperen Sengun Play?

The Houston Rockets are at home on Sunday night as they face off against the Memphis Grizzlies in a Western Conference matchup.

Houston enters Sunday’s game with a 51-30 record after losing at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

In Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves, Amen Thompson led the way for the Rockets as he recorded 41 points, nine rebounds and seven assists while Kevin Durant added 33 points, seven rebounds and seven assists of his own.

Now Houston will try to bounce back at home on Sunday as they face off against a struggling Grizzlies team.

On the other side, Memphis enters Sunday’s contest with a 25-56 record after losing on the road to the Utah Jazz on Friday night.

Rayan Rupert led the way for the Grizzlies in Friday’s loss as he ended the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists while Dariq Whitehead recorded 21 points and three rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Sunday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Grizzlies Injury Report

For the Grizzlies, they have 16 players listed on their injury report for Sunday night’s game in Houston.

Memphis has listed Javon Small as probable and he is expected to play despite dealing with a left thigh contusion.

The Grizzlies have listed Adama Bal (ankle), Walter Clayton Jr. (hip) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (ankle) as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Ja Morant (elbow), Santi Aldama (knee), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (finger), Brandon Clarke (calf), Cedric Coward (back), Zach Edey (ankle and elbow), Taylor Hendricks (thumb), GG Jackson (knee), Ty Jerome (ankle), Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe), Cam Spencer (back) and Jaylen Wells (toe) have all been ruled out.

On the other side, the Rockets have six players listed on their injury report, including both Durant and Alperen Sengun.

Houston has ruled out Durant due to rest as they will elect to sit him in their final game of the regular season.

The Rockets have also ruled out Sengun due to rest while Thompson and Jabari Smith Jr. have also been ruled out due to rest for Sunday’s game.

Fred VanVleet has also been ruled out as he continues to recover from a torn ACL while Steven Adams will miss the remainder of the season while recovering from ankle surgery.

Fans can catch Sunday night’s matchup between the Grizzlies and Rockets from Houston at 8:30 p.m. ET.
