The start of the 2025-26 NBA season is a little over a month away and teams are preparing for the start of training camp.

Among these teams is the Los Angeles Clippers who will enter the new season with lofty expectations after they made multiple moves this offseason.

Los Angeles began their offseason by extending star guard James Harden to keep him on their roster alongside Kawhi Leonard.

The Clippers also signed Brook Lopez, Chris Paul and Bradley Beal in free agency to upgrade their rotation and they also acquired John Collins from the Utah Jazz in a trade that sent Norman Powell to the Miami Heat.

With these moves, the Clippers have been able to upgrade their rotation around Harden, Leonard and Ivica Zubac as they try to chase a championship this season.

DeMarcus Cousins takes shot at Chris Paul over all-time PG ranking

Of course, one of Los Angeles’ moves this summer involved them reuniting with former guard Paul, who should have a large role off the bench this season.

For the 40-year-old guard, he is expected to retire after this season and if that happens, he will cap off a legendary career.

While many believe that Paul is one of the greatest point guards in NBA history, former Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins recently took a shot at him regarding his all-time ranking among the best point guards.

“Every time I hear a top 5 all-time point guards list, Chris Paul is in it and I’m not sure why,” Cousins said.

This is a bold take by Cousins and one that does not make too much sense as Paul has put together an incredible career that will likely result in him being a first ballot Hall of Famer in the future.

For Paul, he has earned many accolades during his 20 seasons in the NBA thus far as he is a 12-time All-Star, 11-time All-NBA selection, nine-time All-defensive selection, the 2005-06 Rookie of the Year winner and was also named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.

The 40-year-old guard also ranks second all-time in steals and assists and is widely regarded as one of the best point guards of his generation.

Of course, Paul has failed to win a championship in his career, which is a big deal for some people, but despite this, there is no doubt that he deserves to be recognized among the greatest point guards in NBA history.
